The wine
Location - 19 hectares in the commune of Bourg sur Gironde, 50 km north of Bordeaux.
Terroir - clay and limestone
Varietals - 50% Merlot, 20% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc.
Ageing - in oak barrels
Cellar keeping - 2 to 6 years

Tasting
A relatively deep purple colour. A complex nose offering a range of aromas from small dark berries to burnt wood. On the palate, the wine is opulent, rich and concentrated, elegancy enhanced by a lovely woodiness. A very fine expression of this hillside vineyard.

Food pairing
Serve with a leg of lamb, a mutton stew or duck fillets.;
